Hello and Welcome to the Seegmiller Kennel site.
Our family raises the rare Decker Bloodline Terriers.
We are dedicated to the preservation and strengthening of this wonderful Rat Terrier.
Our family resides in the beautiful rolling hills of Northeastern Missouri.
"Ruben" and my Dad
My husband Lynn and I are both avid hunters and enjoy the outdoors.  We enjoy Coon, Squirrel, Turkey and
Deer season.  Our dogs are used on a variety of settings daily they help herd cattle and sheep. I take them
horseback riding almost daily.  The versatility of the Decker is what really drew me to the breed. I bought my
first Decker Seegmillers Hattie 3 years ago sight unseen.

I did not even know what a Decker was then, I thought she was just really big for a Rat Terrier! As I had Hattie and she grew to 30+ pounds I realized what a wonderful dog this was! I could do more with her than just a small rattie, she could hunt all day then be with the children playing in the evening or even as a watchdog on our farm.  Now I cannot even imagine not having these wonderful dogs with me, they brighten our
lives everyday.

I have undertaken the effort of trying to locate and breed some of the last remaining 100% pure Decker dogs.  At this time we have successfully bred Simons Lucy to Browns Grit.  We have had the first Pure Decker litter in almost 10 years! My family and I are dedicated to this breed. We are very lucky to have met and talked with many of the old Decker breeders. I want to personally thank Tim Brown for all his work and information on finding the last remaining male dogs.
Hopefully in a couple of years there will be many more 100% Deckers in the world.
