Requirements: Dog must be registered NRTR and meet all our basic registration requirements and meet the Breed Standards as written. If we do not have a current photo on file send one in by email or postal mail. This photo will be used should your dog be accepted so it should show your dog in it's best light. 
There are two ways that a dog can qualify as Foundation Stock 
Either 1.) The dog must be vet certified free of all major defects (see list) and have produced at least two defect free litters. Or 2.) The dog it's parents and grandparents and all offspring of each must be free of all major defects (see list) and the dog must have produced at least two defect free litters. Before being accepted a public listing of all dogs applying will first be posted on the Internet and in the newsletter for a period of three months prior to acceptance into the Foundation Stock Registry. Once accepted they will be moved to and posted on a permanent public list as Foundation Stock Rat Terriers.
