Using the Rat Terrier Gallery
Instructions for Pups For Sale:

This Gallery is best viewed in a web browser like Netscape 6.0 or higher or Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher.
AOL users should upgrade to the newest version.

Attention AOL USERS...
You should make sure your compressed graphics are turned off by doing the following: 1. Click MY AOL from the top menu bar. 2. Choose PREFERENCES. 3. Click WWW. 4. Click the WEB GRAPHICS tab. 5. Uncheck the box for USE COMPRESSED GRAPHICS. You might still see low-quality graphics if you have previously opened a page in this website. To correct this, you need to delete the downloaded temporary internet files. For Windows, do the following: 1. Click Start on the bottom left of the screen. 2. Choose Settings. 3. Choose Control Panel. 4. Choose Internet Options. 5. On the General Tab, under Temporary Internet Files, Click Delete Files. This will purge all of the graphics stored in the Windows cache folders.


Instructions for Items For Sale:
This is the Main Gallery Screen. Note the Change Theme dropdown box. You can change how your page looks by choosing a theme from this box. The theme that you see here is called Default.
By clicking Home or the Photo at the top, on any screen will take you back to this Main screen.

In the  Items For Sale section anyone can post a picture along with a description or story or comment
You do not need to Register or Login
When you enter the gallery click on the Items For Sale Catagory on the Main Screen and it will bring  you to this next screen.

You can now either upload a picture by clicking on the link at the top of the page called Upload picture or click on the little thumbnail photo to show all the pictures in the album, not the thumbnails in the Last additions. The Last additions will take you to a larger view of that photo.
If you choose to show all the pictures in the albums then you will see a screen like this:


You can also Upload a picture from this page or just click on any of the pictures to show a larger view.

This is the next screen you will see in the larger view:

Here you can view a Slide Show, Send an E Card or click the  symbols to move back and forth through the photos in the album. See details in next diagram. By clicking a picture in the film strip it will take that picture to a larger view. Below the film strip is information about the picture you see in the large view.

When you decide to Upload a picture you will see this screen:

Click the Browse Button and find the picture from your computer to Upload. You can upload photos with these extensions: gif/png/jpg/jpeg/tif/tiff and only these. Type in a Picture Title for the photo and in the Picture description box type in a story or comment or what ever you'd like the viewers to see. If you would also like to be connected to the search engine, type in some words in the Keywords box that are the same as in your description area. This is optional. Type in your Email address, Web Page and Phone if you want to.  Finally click Upload Picture at the bottom of the screen. It will put your photo in the gallery after approval from the adminstration. You will see this screen after clicking the Upload Picture.


Click Continue and it will take you back to the main screen.
The photo will appear within a day or less. This approval is needed so that people do not randomly post offensive material.
Once back to the Main screen you can view any of the Catagories freely or post some more pictures using the Upload picture link.

Instructions for Pups For Sale:
 In order to post in this section you must be a listed breeder with the NRTA. If you are not, you will not be able to use this section. All information to become a Breeder is found on the Main Index on the NRTA web site.
If you are already a member of the NRTA then the first thing you need to do is Register.
On the Main screen, click the Register button.
This Main screen example is using the Theme called Default. You can change the look of the Gallery at anytime on the Main screen to whatever feels best to you.


It will bring you to a screen that looks like this:

Click I agree and the next screen will appear:

Fill in your Kennel Name as your User Name, this is important to see your files under your kennel name.
Fill in the rest of the information and click Submit Registration. An email will be sent to your email address to activate your account immediately. Once you register, go check your email to activate the account.
You can now Login with your User Name and Password. Be sure and type it exactly as you entered it into the registration, if you used spaces or capitals in your user name be sure and include them or you won't be able to log in.
It now brings you here:

Please note that it is the same as the Main screen before you logged in with the exception that you are logged in as an Administration mode. This allows you to upload and alter your albums and photos. If you look at the top menu you will see User Mode, you can switch back and forth between the modes by clicking on that. You will need to be in Admin Mode in order to work on your albums otherwise you can view regularly in User Mode.
Also note the boxes above the Change Theme Box, this is where you begin creating albums for your pictures.

1. Click on Create/order my albums, you will see this:

Click on New
You will then see this:

In the bottom area where it says New Album type in what you want your Album to be named then click Apply Modifications. It will bring you back to the Main Screen. 2. From there click Upload Picture to start your album, you will see this screen after clicking Upload picture:

Click the Browse Button and find the picture from your computer to Upload. Type in a Picture Title for the photo and in the Picture description box type in a story or comment or what ever you'd like the viewers to see. If you would also like to be connected to the search engine, type in some words in the Keywords box that are the same as in your description area. (This is optional). Important: Type in your Email address, Web Page and Phone so that people can contact you about your pups or dogs for sale and Finally click Upload Picture at the bottom of the screen. It will put your photo in the gallery after approval from the adminstration. You will see this screen after clicking the Upload Picture.

Click Continue and it will take you back to the main screen.
The photo will appear within a day or less. This approval is needed so that people do not randomly post offensive material.
You will then need to wait to view your album but you can go back and create more albums at this time if you wish. Once they are approved just Login and click on Pups For Sale.Your Album(s) will appear and you can add photos to it, modify it or create more albums.Once you click on Pups For Sale you will see this screen.
Here you have 3 options to create, modify, or view your profile.

 If you click on your album in the thumbnails you will see this screen:

Here you can also create a new album, modify one that is listed or view your profile.
You can also delete an album or show its properties or edit your pictures here.

This next diagram shows your profile box.

You will see listed your Disk Usage each user is allowed, which is 1024KB of space. As you add photos the first number reflects how  much you used and the next number is what is available in total for use. You can modify your profile at anytime in this dialog box or just change your password.

By clicking My Gallery in any screen it will take you to your list of your albums.
Home will always take you back to the Main screen.
Click on User Mode to view the program as if you just came to visit.
You can change your Theme at anytime by clicking on the dropdown box on the Main screen.
